OVERVIEWThe SHIFT Leadership Network was created in response to an urgent national reality: Black clergy are navigating unprecedented levels of emotional exhaustion, institutional instability, and leadership fatigue while continuing to serve as spiritual anchors within their communities. SHIFT is a capacity-building, mentoring, and leadership formation initiative rooted in the wisdom traditions of the Black church and informed by interdisciplinary scholarship. It cultivates flourishing leaders who are spiritually grounded, relationally healthy, culturally aware, and equipped to lead faithfully within complex ministry environments.
